Livestock productivity, as measured by milk yields, correlates with a one-month lag in NDVI values (R 2 = 0.65, p < 0.05). Combining this result with that of Figure 4 means it takes one month for the grass to green up and a second month for stock to feed on this improved forage before productivity reaches its zenith
